The Gang Runs Some Errands

The Goo Crew visits the mages' guild... and kills some siblings

Some short…errands…before our party heads back to the Mercane Agency…

After most of the party finally headed back to the Autumn for some much needed rest, they awake refreshed in the late afternoon of the second of four days before “The Autumn” sets off. Blorp and Aradyn rejoin the party after meditating by a lake near the city’s prison, and the party heads off to kill some time before going back to the Mercane Agency to—hopefully—pick up a Spelljamming Helm and meet up with Mahaxara that night.

Justinia finds a bunch of street urchins to show her the city and sets off on her own. Aradyn also wanders off from the party, still processing the events of the previous day.

Meanwhile, M. A. D. S., Mace, Bren, Luchia, and Blorp take the the markets in search of supplies. Mace stops at a goblin stall for the parts to make the traps he and M. A. D. S. designed and picked up some gears and pieces for his prosthetic arm. However, they are quickly distracted by word of a fighting arena nearby. Hoping to let off some steam, Luchia and Blorp lead the way and, before they know it, the five are waiting their turn to fight another group.

After discovering a fortuneteller who requires a gold to tell Justinia’s fortune, she makes her way back to where she left the party, ditching her street urchin guides. Along the way she runs into Aradyn and, not clear on the concept of property and ownership, attempts to steal a wealthy elf’s money as he pays for some silks. Too slow to stop her, the elf calls for a nearby Ebon Claw guard. Aradyn quickly explains that she cannot take other people’s things without making them upset, so she returns the coins and the two run as fast as they can from the pursuing guard.

In the arena, the newly christened “Goo Crew” prepares to take on the Wonder Quins! Although the Wonder Quins show themselves to be capable of wildshaping into various beasts, it is quickly clear that they are no match for the party. In less than a minute, two of the Quins are lying dead in the dirt, and the remaining three give up the fight and run off, leaving the Goo Crew as the winners!

As the rest of the party fights, Aradyn goes to the Mage’s Guild in search of knowledge, and Justinia tags along. There, a gold piece gains him entry into the guild, and he peruses the stacks in search of books on graviturgy. Justinia becomes enamored with the floating, glowing stones that illuminate the rooms. Being told she cannot take a stone, Justinia waits until the librarian isn’t paying attention to take one, but, in going for a second stone, gets caught and sternly escorted back to the lobby. Having found some books, Aradyn and Justinia go to meet back up with the party and prepare for their meeting with Mahaxara…
