METEOR BLORP!

The Goo Crew bombs a whale!

Time to see if the party can pull off another one of their hair-brained schemes!

After some intense discussion, the party comes up with a plan to carpet bomb the giant fish with an exploding wood barrel, using the dead lizard’s body as bait. The fish doesn’t take the bait at fish, seemingly far more interested in monitoring closer to the temple than going after food, but eventually Mace jumps into the water and attempts to swim towards the fish. He gets its attention, lures it closer to the surface, waits, and misty steps away at the last moment. Between the damage dealt by the bomb exploding inside the fish’s mouth and a glowing, golden-haired Blorp “meteor” slamming into it, the party manages to kill the fish, dislodging a light purple “power” crystal from it’s head.

With this obstacle removed, the party and Jadé swim down and enter the temple, encountering several puzzle rooms. In the first, the party reflected a beam of light from the surface using broken bits of crystal as well as the blades the party had taken off of the dead lizard to hit a mural above the doorway. In the second, the party had to surrender something of value to them to bring the hands down and open the next door.

In the next room, Bren used comprehend languages to read the inscription: “Harmony guards the sacred. Discord invites ruin.” Around the room stand four pillars that make a sound when hit, with a statue in the center holding a polearm. The party positioned themselves around the room, hitting first the pillar in the top right corner, then the pillar below it. However, hitting the second pillar triggered the statue which now stands ready to attack…
